Why can't I listen to my podcast?

Hi,

Totally new to podcasts. Downloaded one and I press play in iTunes, but nothing happens. I double click it and it just checks for the most recent episode. Thank you.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.10), Newbe to Mac, so have lots of ?'s

Do you see a little disclosure triangle next to the title of the podcast? Click Podcasts on the left side of iTunes> click the Triangle> Then double-click the episode.

If that does not work there may be an issue with the podcast, try downloading another podcast.

I'm guessing that what you're double-clicking on is the podcast entry in the iTunes store podcast directory? You can't play podcasts from there - it's just like music, except you don't even get the 30 second sample.

Once you've downloaded an episode, you go to Podcasts in your Library and play the downloaded copy.

If I guessed wrong, maybe you could describe in more detail what you're doing and seeing.

There is no triangle. Should I delete it and try it again? I will try checking out another podcast and let you know if I can access that one since the one I downloaded may not be working correctly. Thanks for the input and I will post in a bit.
