Errors using Turnitin.com??

I have a daughter in HS that is required to use "turnitin.com" to submit her papers (the site scans the internet to ensure no plagiarism). Here's the catch - when trying to login to the site on her Macbook, the site says it can't establish a secure connection (in Safari - and something similar in Firefox). However, it works just fine on the same home network using a Windoze XP machine.
Any suggestions?
