ITunes syncing with the wrong Ipod

We have mulitple Ipods and computers on our home network, 3 Ipods and 3 Computers. Each Ipod is authorized on a different computer. If itunes is turned on any computer, its library is accessable by other computers in the network. Yesterday, I tried to sync my Ipod on my computer which it has been authorized on and previously synced properly. To my chagrin, i got an error message stating that my son's ipod, which was named as the device it saw, even though the serial number was indeed mine, was authorized on another computer and would not permit the sync. When i attached my son's Ipod to my machine, i got the same error, but it gave his serial number in the Itunes summary screen. The only thing that has occured between Itunes syching propoerly and now is that i downloaded the new Itunes with Genius on my machine.
