OH DARN!!!!

Man i was driving home today on the darn freeway and my radiator gave out on me leaving me stranded for a few hours before i was picked up adn towed to the dealership. I exclaimed that it was their faulty workmanship that the car had broken down and that i didnt want t repaired but simply wanted a new car. I rightfully feel that i deserve this newer car simply cause the old car is faulty. I dont know why the car dealer has the right to refuse.Maybe i should look elsewhere??? OH WIAT!!! i forgot to mention the car i own a mercedes benz e-class.

Businesses dont do that

GFF

p.s. actually my mercedes benz is perfectly fine nothing was injured during this post.

No, not at all like that.
If you brought in a broken iPod, it would be repaired or replaced with the exact same model. (If it was under warranty, of course.)
If it's out of warranty, you're stuck with it and you'll have to purchase a new iPod at full price or pay the repair charges to get the damaged one fixed.

No retailer is going to allow you to return damaged merchandise, even if you pay a 10% restocking fee.

No one, including Small Dog, offers trade-ins on broken iPods (as the OP says his is) that allow you to get a new iPod for your old broken one (as the OP requests). To be accurate, Small Dog does offer you $25.00 store credit if it can salvage some parts from your broken iPod. That won't go too far towards any new iPod.

Your real only recourse is to sell the broken iPod on eBay for those hobbyists who enjoy collecting and repairing iPods using the parts from broken machines.
