For 2.0.2 and now 2.1 iTunes starts to download and then reports a network error. I restart AT ZERO and then get another network error.

I got up at 4 AM to try the download. I got 2.1 million bits per second download speed. I got up to 219 megabytes received a couple of times before failure. Then the bitstream stopped and the bits per second number dropped to zero. Then there is the alert window again telling me there is a network error.

I have been through this exercise five times today so far.

Why, with all the smarts and hardware, do I have to watch for this alert window, dismiss it, and restart the download at Zero bytes?

This is the sort of problem I wanted to avoid. This is so much like windows and Microsoft.

Well, finally it worked and I have an upgraded iphone at 2.1.

I hope Apple will have fixed the download issue I have had prior to the next time.
