Iphone Genius Playlist?

Ok... I've seen other people confused about this. I have no idea where the heck it is on the phone.

I just got a new 3G yesterday, (dropped my original iPhone for the first time, slid out of a leather case, broken) so I've been really excited about having a new phone and the new update.

I love the Genius playlist in iTunes. It's kinda lame not being able to find the beloved genius playlist on the phone. Especially since it appears to be the only new feature of the update.

Does anyone know where to look so I can say that I'm just blind? Or is it legitimately hard to find?

I had the same problem and here is how I got my iPhone 3G to work with Genius and iTunes 8. First thing, I had already upgraded to iTunes 8 and started using Genius before upgrading my iPhone to 2.10.

When I upgraded my iPhone and synced, Genius didn't work. I had to turn off Genius in iTunes > Store > Turn of Genius and then turned Genius back on again. Then synced my iPhone again and Genius was working.

Im sorry but can someone please tell me how to enable this Genius feature on my iPhone 3G. When i try using it on my iphone it tells me to enable it on itunes. In itunes ive turned it off and on and ive updated it under the store tab. I still cant use genius. I have the manually manage music and videos option on my iphone selected. Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong and help me fix this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks

In iTunes 8, you must have the Genius feature turned on, and it must have gone through the process of sending information about your music library to Apple.

Then, after you've synced the iPhone with the 2.1 software, click on the iPod icon. Pick on the Playlist icon, and you'll see the Genius playlist shown at the top.

Start playing a song. Click once over the display to bring up the timeline control that shows where in the song the playhead is. You'll see a Genius icon below the timeline. If you click the Genius icon, it can be used as the basis for creating a Genius playlist.

I noticed someone stated in this thread that their music is manage manually. So is mine. After I created and saved a genius playlist in iTunes, I simply dragged the list to my phone and the playlist was uploaded to my phone. I also manually control the sync with my iPhone. I open iTunes then connect my phone, then tell it to sync. I have found this to work real well for me.
