Code Examples, a suggestion...

Everyone,

I've been struggling too long to do basic stuff and so I thought a would start a basic code repo. The idea is to have all those basic classes do what we want them to do. As I said it's just to kick start, I'm going to post an example on my iDisk for the moment, if anyone has some hosting idea please suggest. So the idea is to have 1 xCode project per class, and Im going to start with... UIScrollView! You bet. The imageView should behave like the one in the photo app. This example loads an image in a UIImageView and into a scrollView. Basic zoom works, these areas don't:

1) There's a frame around the image, the ScrollView isn't set to the right size

2) Rotation doesn't work

I'm going to leave my iDisk read and write for the moment, we'll see how it evolves.

So here's how it works:

1) You download the project at http://public.me.com/michaf

2) You alter the project and upload your version with an incremental name, the current version is UIImageView in UIScrollView_1 and so you'll upload UIImageView in UIScrollView_2.

I'm pretty sure some other ScrollView examples need to be covered, like UIWebView in UIScrollView etc, feel free to contribute.

If something like what I'm trying to set up already exists, please excuse my post and let me know where it's at.
