2.1 ...more dropped calls?

I haven't had a dropped call in a while. Today when I woke up I updated the firmware to 2.1 and had 3 dropped calls just on the way to work. Has anybody else encountered this? Also my EDGE icon looks different. It is just an E instead of the E in the box.

I am getting to think people are JUST complaining about anything and EVERYTHING that goes wrong with their phones. Look people technology isn't PERFECT. The problem could lie upon other factors besides just YOUR phone. Haven't you all ever thought that Apple is trying their best to correct these issues? I mean it took Sprint 1 year to come out with a LITTLE update to add EVDO Rev. A & GPS for the HTC Touch...Apple has come out with updates much faster Get a grip people AT LEAST APPLE IS DOING SOMETHING and NOT ignoring the problems! Gee Wiz....

I disagree... You're sticking up for a company and a product that simply doesn't work as it should. And you think that the consumer should just sit back and accept it because it's technology? Apple did very well with the 1.x software on the original iPhone, why can't it keep up with the 2.x software on the 3g? Should we expect less because it is new? Let's put it in perspective... the iPhone is a phone, it should be able to make phone calls and not drop them or fail on the way out. Think of a new car that you just bought... sometimes it starts, sometimes it dies on the highway, but it's a really cool car. Would you be okay with that?

Apple tell me where my "logic" is flawed....

My first post this this thread I stated:

How is this against Apples TOS? I am defending Apple.

SO I am not being "conservative" enough for Apple. Oh well....

My last post is NOT abusive..

Perhaps people jump to conclusions because Apple won't provide us with any facts to base our conclusions on. A little communication would go a very, very long way.

In the meantime people have paid money for something that doesn't work and consumers just aren't going to accept that, whatever the technical considerations.

Incidentally my iPhone is my seventh personal mobile phone. In addition I've had several mobile phones for work. I've been working in the IT industry for over 15 years so I think I know "how technology works". I still don't find the current situation acceptable.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

2.1 ...more dropped calls?
