I just got this email from customer support.

"Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available.

Thank you for your patience. Apple wants your iTunes experience to be as enjoyable as possible. Have a wonderful day!"

I hope this helps everyone.

I've been logging onto the discussion threads since Friday hoping that someone had an answer. I'm trying to be patient but I want to listen to my music that I just downloaded. I've spent a lot of money to listen to music the way I want to hence the term "i"Tunes. This really *****! I know software can have issues but ****! I even Goggled the problem I found a couple of blogs that stated iTunes 8.0 ***** and the program erases your cd/dvd drivers.

I have a HP laptop with Windows Vista. When I installed I-tunes, my DVD drivers were disabled. Fry's changed my registry and fixed the problem. When I downloaded I-Tunes 8--it happened again. Fry's identified it as an I-Tunes problem and once again changed my registry. I can now use my DVD, but the DVD option with I-Tunes is disabled. I can listen to my music, download my music to my IPhone, but I cannot make a CD or DVD from I-Tunes until this problem is fixed by Apple. Is there a fix coming any time soon?

Same problem here and still no resolution. I have an Mac with intel chip, OS 10.4.1 and cannot burn CDs/DVDs. The disk inserts and the burning process starts only to have the disc spit out after two minutes. Something burns to the disc by the way so it cannot be reused.

This is extremely frustrating and you are all correct - Apple should step up and fix this or stand behind their product. I've spent thousands of dollars on iTunes, I expect to be able to burn my music to a CD.

This is the first-time I've felt like I was dealing with Microsoft.
