Issues with Blueant v1 and iPhone 3G - can't hear anything during a call

Anyone have issues with the iPhone 3G and the Blueant v1? I have no issues pairing the two but when I make calls I can't hear the dial tone, the person on the other end nor can they hear me. I can successfully re-pair, delete the pairing and hear and complete all command via the Blueant v1 e.g. "pair me" etc.

I have set the Airplane mode on the iPhone to clear all connections; reset both devices including a hard reset of the iPhone 3G and still the issue persit. Currently using running 2.1 on my iPhone and was hoping that would fix the issue ** no such luck. I have no issues pairing and using the v1 with other phones other than the iPhone - tried five (5) different types - and hope someone can help. I really like the Blueant and would hate to have to give it up but I'm at my wits end.

I've tried calling Apple, Blueant and AT&T and no help; any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

According to the Apple genius I spoke with at length it appears at least in my area no one has gotten this to work. He recommended I use a BT headset which was listed on the Apple site which in no way helps with my current dilemma.

In speaking with Blueant support all I got was to remove the pairing, reset the device and that should work which clearly did not. Will keep working on the issue but it appears either a firmware update or buying the Jawbone 2 may be in order.......

If ANYONE gets this working PLEASE post; I'd really hate to give up my Blueant V1.

I am experiencing the same issue. I have been in touch with both BlueAnt and Apple with no resolution. However, I just got an e-mail from BlueAnt stating:

"It is something that we have seen with some of the Apple 3G's and we are currently investigating the issue. There should be a firmware upgrade soon that should resolve this problem."

So, at least they acknowledge that there is an issue. Hopefully they'll get it resolved soon.

We (my wife's iPhone, my tech support) got a BlueAnt V1 and it works great with her old iPhone (not a 3G). We are still trying to make the voice dial select the correct number from the iPhone's Favorites. We cleared all the Favorites and started from the top with Voice Mail (calling your iPhone number) but when she said "4" the V1 select the 9th Favorite. We are still checking on the Net for a solution. We did call BlueAnt Tech Support about setting up the Favorites and they answered quickly and we got that part working.

I again called Apple and Blueant to no avail; I did however see that some have made progress. As a last ditch effort I contacted the company I ordered the headset from - apparently they have seen this before and they resolved the issue by switching out the unit. I will be going by the store tomorrow and switching my current Blueant v1 for a new one; I'll report back either way tomorrow night with an update to the post.

I have an issue with the blueant micro x3 v1.2 with the iphone. Pairs up without an issue but wil not work with it once paired. I very much doubt it is an issue with the headset as it works with 3 other devices with no issue... Not impressed with the iphone to date and this is just another one of the reasons it needs to be binned!
