iPhone OS 2.1 Update

My experience with the update has been positive. I think they came out with a solid production release on this one. I do notice better performance for applications and SMS functionality. My 3G connectivity is definitely loading pages in Safari much faster and I not only have more visual bars but I see the actual speed difference inside especially. I have not dropped a call since. Too soon to make an honest assessment on extended battery life etc, but I do use my iPhone all the time especially when in NYC.

Overall best update yet for me. I hope those folks having issues get them resolved soon whatever they are.

I just upgraded to double my RAM and have been backing my iMac up and about to install 10.5.4 and MobileMe. Cruising right along...

cheers

I'm pretty unhappy about losing the functionality of the GPS.

Goggle maps now insists that i'm on a freeway overpass just outside Detroit and yet when I look out my window all I can see is Seattle.

I'm sad because I spent money on Apps that use the GPS and its pretty much useless now and there's others with this issue and not a peep out of Apple.

I'm getting tired of paying for the priviledge of being a QA tester for apple.

I've had great success with the update. Typing is not super fast (still some lag). Faster apps. way less crashes, way better reception, I think I'm getting better and louder audio quality.

Now to get some features! Can I get the phone call to play through regular headsets? Copy paste? Landscape keyboard? Ability to turn off landscaping?

Mine is showing that I am sitting at my house. It also is showing the pulsating blue dot (I'm near a window). So it must not be a "bug" that is impacting everyone. And my friends is displaying accurately also.

What steps have you taken so far to correct the issue on your iPhone? Hard Reset? Restore? Taken it to the Apple Store?
