safari not working

I opened up Safari and I got this message...

"Safari Web Browser has stopped working.
A problem has caused the program to stop working incorrectly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I restarted my computer and the message came up, and then i removed and reinstalled it, the message came up again.

Is there any way I can fix it?

I have the exact same problem. I've restarted my computer, I've repaired Safari, I've reinstalled, I've uninstalled it completely then reinstalled. I feel like the only solution to be able to use Safari again(which worked for awhile but no longer does) would be a complete reformat of my hard drive! This seems to be a common problem for Vista users, is there ANYTHING else that can be done to fix this?

1- Uninstall Safari
2- Go to C:\Users\Your user name\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Safari
3- Copy the folder called "Preferences" + the file "bookmarks" to a new folder in your documents
4- Then delete the folder called Safari (C:\Users\Your user name\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer)
5- Go to C:\Users\George\AppData\Local\Apple Computer and delete the folder called Safari
6- Install Safari
7- Open safari once (just to make sure that is working ) and the close it again.
8- When installation is finished you will be able to use Safari, but all your bookmarks and preferences will be gone. The good thing is that you saved those in a folder in your documents. Go there and cut those two files, then go to C:\Users\Your user name\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Safari and pate them there (make sure that Safari is not running while you do this) After you’ve pasted the two documents close everything and lunch Safari. Everything should be back to normal
