Hi All,
I use a separate one gig machine (altho my sony 2gb machine can't cope with the new visualizer either) for itunes and windows media center.
By default (including XP I think), Windows visual effects and performance management automatically however if you change this this to to adjust itself for best performance then the visualizer should run ok. Also, it's best not to have any other programs running though at the same time as the visualizer is a bit power hungry and it renders your machine back to the crappy windows classic theme as opposed to vista/xp.
Here's how to change it:
- Open Control Panel
- Open Performance Information and Tool
- From the Tasks menu on the right select Advanced Tools
- In the new menu, select Adjust The Appearance and Performance of Windows
- Change setting to Adjust For Best Performance then click OK.
Like I say, I use a separate machine for music/video so I can live with the Windows Classic Theme and it also makes things run generally faster too.
