SplashID Stopped Working

SplashID Stopped Working

Hi,

Since I've upgraded my Touch to the 2.1 software, SplashID doesn't work. It brings up a popup saying "The application 'SplashID' cannot be opened"

Anyone else had a similar problem or know best way to resolve ? (I'm not sure whether to contact Apple or the SplashID publisher).

Have you tried to fix it yourself?

Firstly run through these, [6R's Trouble Shoot|http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/troubleshooting/ipodtouch>. The reset normally fixes it.

Also check for an update on the App or try uninstalling/redownloading/reinstalling etc.

Thanks for the pointer. I've tried the reset etc. from the link but the application still refuses to work.

Before I uninstall and install again from iTunes, do you know whether I'm likely to loose the SplashID data that I've put into the app? I'm hoping that it's saved somewhere on my PC. Because I paid for this app, I put all my passwords on it, trusting it not to fail. If I've lost them, I'm somewhat screwed.

Before you do, contact the software manufacture and see if they will restore your purchase, if you need to wipe the Touch?

Maybe they can reassure you that if will not affect what is on your PC, and will be restored when you re-sync your touch.

Hi,

To be honest I'm not sure how SplashID works (or even what it does), I think the settings should remain in your backup and restore from there but I don't want to take any responsibility. Sorry, not much help.
