I just recieved my 4th generation nano today (direct from apple), and I am in the same situation. No backlight at all (straight out of the box). What a terrible feeling on something you waited almost a week to recieve 😟 I will get on the phone with them this evening.
Mine worked for 2 days and now all of a sudden it won't turn on!!!! I don't know what to do cause i ordered mine off line & it's engraved and everything!!! Will they replace it???
ps: i also have the purple
same problem. I've been using mine for like a month and then all of a sudden it wouldn't light up so i kept resetting it and it would work a few times. But now it's completely gone. Mines a an 8GB Pink, aslo ingraved! Will they replace the ingraved ones?
same problem with me. i bought my ipod 4th generation (green) online about 2 months ago and it worked just fine up till 2 weeks ago. so i sent it back for repairs, a week later i got it back and it worked for like only 3 days. is there something wrong with it or am i doing something cuz i barely ever touch it.
anyone know what i should do?
For all of us having this issue, what color nano do you have? Is it a production line problem? My issue is on the RED, love the color, hate the backlight problem.
I have the same problem and I absolutely hated the ipod nano 4th gen. How do apple usually give you a new ipod? Do they ship a new one to you without the box and accessories?
Same problem. Backlight doesn't work after a month using it. Nice quality control from Apple Inc. The biggest problem is that the ipod was bought in USA and now i'm living in Europe.
