Cleaning iPod Touch screen?

My advice is to invest in matte protective screen film that prevent fingerprints and smudging. Before I did this I was constantly cleaning & polishing the screen on my iPod Touch. If you just want to clean the screen I recommend using a soft, lint-free cloth and perhaps dampen with a little clean water. Do not use window cleaners or solvents as they will leave residue or etch the glass.

Quite frankly, I never removed the original screen protector that came with my G1 Touch, I have one that came with the Griffin leather case, but still haven't had to use it. If you removed the one that came with it, get a screen protector ASAP!

I just carefully removed the tab at the bottom of the one that came with it, that covered the charger port.

I really think people worry about this too much.
There is no need for any special fabrics or solvants... I just use my shirt to clean the screen of my iPhone. Works just fine.

I use a square of an old t-shirt once a day with a spray of Windex on it.
Then, the rest of the day, I use my shirt like everyone else 🙂
Even with a protector, the above works great.
