iChat - can send but not receive

My co-worker is signed onto iChat - you can see that she is online and she can send messages out. She cannot see replies though. When anyone responds to her messages, nothing pops up on her screen. In fact, her chat window doesn't even display the messages she is sending - it only shows "..." as though she is still typing. Video and Audio chat are working fine.
