Error Message: 11004: S...not found

I'm trying to open/play some archived video links from CNN.com. They give the option for using WMP, QT or RealPlayer. I've changed my "Preferences" to open/play with each player but none works. The error I get when trying to use QuickTime is, "*11004: S...not found*". I'm awaiting a 2nd reply from CNN Tech Support but thought I'd write here in the meantime. Incidentally, current new video links play successfully from the site. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.
