black circle beside the signal

black circle beside the signal

Question, what is the black circle beside the signal means?? because it should be E [edge] or 3g or wifi... but i have the black circle.. what's the meaning of that?

Should be blue. It should mean GPRS. WHen not connected to edge or 3g

Very strange!

The symbol has changed to a circle with no box with 2.1 firmware. It still means GPRS. Don't worry. It's normal.
