Coby DP-151 Digital Photo Keychain

I was looking for information on software for the Coby DP-151 Digital Photo Keychain drivers for Mac OS 10.5 Leopard because the software they ship with the unit (v1.2) doesn't work.

After trial and error, I found that an older version located on another website works!

Thank you soooo much for this post. I went everywhere trying to solve this. The version 1.4 that came on my mini cd that I bought it with did not work. The version 1.2 that you download from the cobyusa.com website did not work, but your link did! Man I love this Apple user community.

Since my last post, I've installed this application and it appeared to work. I was able to get the program to stay opened, but when trying to transfer pictures to the Coby DP-151 device the application crashes. I know the device and cable work as I am able to transfer pictures from a Win XP implementation of the software. I'm still looking for answers, but I'm running low on hope that there is anything out there for this cheap little device.

I have two of these keychains and they work on one of my Macs but not on the other. The one they work on is a G5 running 10.3.9 and they the one that the fail on is my Intel running 10.5.6. I'm guessing that at least for now they are limited to 10.3.x given 10.3 is what is referenced in the documentation.

I've had the same experience. Didn't work on the Intel MacBook Pro; did work (though only with the older Photo Viewer software linked above: thanks so much) on the old G3 PowerBook (10.3.9).

Somehow, in the process of trying all this out, it actually crashed the MacBook Pro -- right to the grayed screen and the multilingual "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button." message. Not going to try that again, and risk blowing up my precious shiny new computer. My wife received this do-dad as a gift, and for all the messing around I've done to put some pictures in it, it seems pretty pointless. If she wants to update it, she's going to have to go through the old computer.

I've got an Intel iMac with 10.5 and this particular version (1.0.3) worked for me when the latest version did not. However, it seems that if I don't allow enough time after plugging in the DP-151 and selecting "USB Update", it crashes the Mac.
