10.5.5 won't drive a Viewsonic VX2025 display

I just downloaded and ran the upgrade to 10.5.5 and couldn't get an image on the above display. I swapped displays with a VA902b from my PC, and I can now work, but I'd like to be able to use the VX2025, it's a good display. The PC is driving the VA2025 just fine, but it's a bit of a waste. I'm using the same cable and connection I used before - the digital connector #2 on the back of the G5 desktop - the one with the squared corners. Viewsonic doesn't seem to have a driver for the Mac.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Sometimes it's a limitation of the graphics chip. For example, my MacBook can only power 1980x1200 max resolution which is a 24" widescreen. Check to make sure your graphics card can support the pixel resolution of the display. As I'm not familiar with that particular model you have to do this on your own. Also, does the screen flash blue? And does sys prefs recognize the display?
