is applecare international?

sorry, i didnt know where to post this question, but i was wondering if applecare works anywhere in the world?

i go to school in the US and bought my macbook and applecare protection plan here.

however, i am going back to canada for a bit and would like to stop in a store to have my laptop looked at.

Will my applecare work in Canada?
