Sliced my MagSafe Cord

I easily repaired by MacBook AC adaptor. Just cut the ends clean, strip back the insulation, attach the inner wire firmly together and carefully tape (I used shrink warp electrical tube), then connect the outer "mesh" (I split it into two and attached the two new "wires" together, and again tape carefully.

It is really just connecting the inner wires together and taping and then the outer mesh wires together and again taping. Make sure it is strong so it cannot pull apart. It looks "funny" because one wire is mesh but it just two wires that need to be connected. I understand the outer mesh is to avoid interference.

Carefully with a soldering iron and some electrical tape, but only if you know how to do that. You may be better off just buying another AC charger. You can order one from Apple's Online Store.

I wouldn't bother trying to repair it unless you want to risk burning your place down. Just buy a new adapter at Best Buy. Yes, Best Buy does have them. I bought one over a week ago from em.

I notice you can buy the replacement Magsafe cord (P/N #: MA357LL/A 661-3994) on eBay. Does anyone know how to open the power brick to replace the cord? Our cat chewed up my Magsafe cord.

I did buy a complete new AC adapter, but I was wondering if I can fix the first one.
