Serious Kernel Panics?

So i've been having an evergrowing problem with my G5 quad 2.5 box over the last year or so. It started very rarely freezing while it was sleeping with the fans blazing. Over the last couple months it has become drastically worse... it is freezing nearly 3 times a day now, sometimes when it's asleep, sometimes when i'm running it. There is no common symptom for applications or anything.

I read a report that said to check my logs for PanicReports. I have over 100 panic reports in the last month.

I have ran full Apple Hardware tests stating nothing is wrong... as well as a number of RAM tests saying the ram is ok. I've switched out between 3 pairs of RAM sticks, as well as disconnected all peripherals... but had the problem still occurs under all states. I do have 2 video cards that I haven't tried testing without yet.... other than that, I can't find any sign of a hardware failure.

The kernel_panics all vary, but most looks similar to this:

Please help, any information would be great.... this is averaging 3 times a day, and its getting very inconvenient. This is a very fast box, and I am very curious as to what is causing this issue.

Well, I am lead to believe it is software related. I have been using a test user account for nearly 48 hours without a freeze... and considering it's been panicking nearly 3 times a day on average that seems exceptionally good. Not really sure how to go about this now... maybe start with backing up the preferences folder and just pulling back in the ones I need or recreating what i need.

Well, luck would have it that only briefly after I post about the discover it all gets shot down. Good ol' kernel panic even on the test user account just happened yet again. Now, I'm lost... the only thing that I haven't tested hardware wise is the video cards... but it freezes most while its asleep, it would be really really strange, but who knows.

Have you read through this:
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/systems/G5coolantleaks.html#updates

As well as reports on Mac news sites (MacFixit, MacIntouch, etc)?

You shouldn't be having this, or that many, and not take it in for testing.

Using just one video card, then the other, would be normal trial and error to narrow down, just as you said you tried ruling out external cables and devices (and yes, even a bad FW or USB cable can cause panic).

Alright well... i have ran a test user account to no avail. As well as run each vid card individually, and still the box kernels out. Its down to the system either being corrupted in the main system not associated with the user account, or there is something wrong with the logic board, etc.

Anyone have any other ideas? I'm running out of ideas on this one.

@ BleedingStar

I just wanted to let you know, that you are not alone with this issue. I have a Quad G5 with the exact same problem. It started when I upgraded to Leopard and at first I might have had one a week, but now I rarely go a day without it happening 3 times in a single day.

I've done the usual, replaced ram, re-installed Leopard, etc.

I would be very curious as to what you find out. I know I need to take my computer in, but I'm putting up with it for now, since this is my main work computer and I don't have another one to fall back to.

logic board is what I'm suspecting.

It's weird, doesn't matter what I'm doing.

I can have a lot of programs open or none.
I can be working on it or it can be sitting.
I've used every system diagnostic program I could get me hands on, all report nothing.
I have removed all possible combinations of hardware, to see if any of those were causing issues. (Other than my ram, no other hardware modifications have been added)
I've re-installed the OS 3 times.

Whenever this happens, I get the same general log message as stated above. Most of the time the current thread is the kernel, other times it might be a program, like BB Edit, or iTunes.

When the crash happens, the grey portion of the "Grey-Screen of Death" slowly starts to fill my screen (Comes from the top and slowly draws downward), and then where you normally see the nice multi-lingual error message, I see what looks like stationary static. Like you would see on a monitor that has not been plugged in properly or maybe is at the wrong megahertz setting.

I've seen a few other post around the web with people with the same problems, but I have yet to hear if anyone know exactly what's going on.
