how do i use 2nd hd for iphoto & itunes

i recently installed a 2nd hd in my mac and would like to have all my iphoto and itunes using that drive (as they seem to be the biggest space hogs); how do i move them over and how do i set my mac up to do this? thanks

What I have always done, is just direct my entire home folder, lock stock barrel.

Change user Account control panel -> unlock -> Advanced Option... (command control click) and change path from

/Users/home_account

to

/Volumes/volume name/Users/homeaccount

If I am going to move some, might as well do all; but, I would leave a small home account by default behind on boot drive, at least ~/Library as a just in case.

thanks japamac, it seems to have worked .... however, this am i went to my playlists and noticed that while the titles are still there, they are all empty; the good news is that the songs still show up in music library list, so they're not gone altogether, just from my playlists; what did i do wrong and/or what can i do to rectify this issue. thanks again
