Single Ear Headset

Hi everyone,

I use my iPhone 3G in the car a lot and here in MA it's illegal to have a headset in both ears.

Can anyone recommend a good single ear headset/ear bud option without having to leave one of the ear buds hanging?

I have a version 1 phone, and I use a Plantronics Discovery bluetooth headset. It is extremely light and fits right to either ear. I believe the model number is 655, just can't remember right now. There are a number on the market, I know the Jawbone has tremendous noise cancelling capabilities. It will have to be a personal preference to whatever fits better to your ear.

I should have originally mentioned that I'm using the iPhone a lot for listening to music and podcasts which I understand you can't do with a Bluetooth headset so I guess I'm limited to wired ones for now. 😟

I am having a problem with my new 3g iphone pairing with new Plantronics 925. I like the headset because it sits in outer ear not inner ear and way more comfortable.

Best Buy said they are compatable as they sell iphones. When I looked online Plantronics said that apple needs a patch but other people seem to pair.

In addition, is there a diff between iphone 3g purchased at ATT vs. other stores like Best Buy?

I also had a problem pairing one of my Jawbone 2 but my other one on another phone did pair

..although I haven't tested it myself...

A colleague said she had a 'itrip' type device connected to her iphone to play her tunes through her car radio. She said on an incoming call she was able to hear and talk to the other person wihtout a headset.

"Jabra" headset lets you listen to music via bluetooth. $100. I haven't tested one with an iPhone, I use Jawbone 2 and a Motorola headsets. But my brother uses Jabra with SonyEricson and pretty happy.
