Time Capsule, Bellsouth DSL, no signal being broadcasted w/ green light on

I am replacing my existing router with the TC. Everything is set perfectly on the TC, according to the AP Utility, the TC even shows a green light. My problem is, that even when my AirPort says I am connected to my network, when i go to Safari, it acts as if the internet doesn't exist and the home page never loads. I have Bellsouth DSL, on a Westell Modem. I have set the modem as a bridge instead of a PPoE. I just bought this thing and I want to work like, after spending that kind of money on it. Anyone with answers or help? It would be greatly appreciated!

This sounds like my situation..my Earthlink diagnostic says i'm connected to DSL but Safari will not load--neither will "Mail" connect..
the computer says --finally "server not responding"--but like i said earthlink says i am connected...the green light is on
it seems like TC or Time Machine is the culprit because it won't record"" an update (stuck "preparing...")

Chaz,

First, verify your cable setup. It should be:

Phone line --> WAN port on your ISPs modem.
Then ISPs modem --> WAN port on the Time Capsule (that’s the little round ‘wheel’ symbol.)

If you are using the Time Capsule as your only router then power down your ISPs modem and then your Time Capsule. Next turn your modem back on first. Let it initialize and acquire an IP address (about 30-60 seconds) and then turn your Time Capsule back on. Sometimes when you add devises, the modem will not forward the IP address assigned by your ISP until it has been restarted.

Next, if you are adding the Time Capsule to an existing network then which ever router is secondary, needs to be placed in “bridged mode”. On the other hand, Airport products are not always compatible with 3rd-party wireless products so don’t be shocked if it doesn’t work. If it does work then you would setup the TC to "Participate in a WDS network".

Give that a try.
