Outgoing email problem with Cogeco provider

Hi all,
I'm having difficulty getting my iphone to send emails using Cogeco service provider. I have no problem receiving email from my Cogeco account however whenever I try to send an email, I receive the error

"The connection to the outgoing server "smtp.cogeco.ca" failed."

The following are my settings for my outgoing server on the iphone:

Host Name: smtp.cogeco.ca
User name: (my user id)
Password : (my password)
Use SSL : OFF
Authentication: Password
Server Port : 25

I've tried calling Cogeco tech support but they weren't very helpful apart from retelling me the info above.

I'm using the standard email application that came with the iphone.

Anyone have any suggestions?
