Error 1437

Error 1437

I have a mini(about 4 years old with a new battery). I tried to restore and got stuck in disk mode because my computer or itunes will not recognize my ipod. Finally got it to where I can restore, it went through the motions but then got "The ipod could not be restored, unknown error (1437). I do have XP with service pak 3 and tried to correct the registry but what the forums said was causing the error could not be found in the registry.

Is there any new information to this Error 1437?

I have the same issue and need to resolve this software issue or atleast have an explanation to what file is corrupted.

I just got the same propblem on my video... i was watching a podcast in the morning one day and it shut off. so i did everthing on that list online and error 1437 came up everytime. what are we supposed to do about this?

There aren't any solutions for certain yet, but there are some helpful suggestions.

But what you can try to do is downgrade iTunes to 7.7 - there seems to be a lot of success when people do this. iTunes 8 seems to be the culprit.

to get my ipod nano to work i held down menu and the center button together and it worked. try that and then restore it. it worked for me : )

i have a solution that worked for me. i think it has to do with itunes 8. go to http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1717614&tstart=0 and scroll down until you get to

The instructions posted were designed for Mac computers. Here's the Vista version

i unistalled itunes 8 and installed 7.7 and now i could put stuff on my ipod. hope this helps
