Rental Download Error (-50) or 8007 Taking Forever to DL Movie!

Just bought ATV a few days ago. First HD movie rental via ATV yesterday keeps hanging with error -50 or 8007. So far 36 hours and movie is only 30% DL'd. This is ridiculous! What is causing these errors???? Any attempt to restart from ATV fails. Rebooting everything from cold seems to get it going.

I am linked via Itunes to my Windows PC, but the rental was done on ATV. ATV hardwired to router and DSL (in Canada).
