Webkinz problems

In the last month or so, using Safari or even Firefox to log onto Webkinz on my MacBook has continually crashed. Is this happening to anyone else, and if so, what do you do to fix it? Webkinz keeps saying to notify Safari or Firefox.

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions ...

I found this in the Customer Service area of that site:
If Webkinz World is not loading, there are several solutions you can try.

1. Please go to www.adobe.com and update your Flash Player.
2. Please clear your cache. If you do not know how to do this, we have detailed instructions on our FAQ in the Technical Issues section. Just click on the question "How do I clear my cache?". If you wish to proceed directly to the Technical Issues page of the FAQ please click here. (Instructions for clearing the Safari cache below)
3. Please make sure www.webkinz.com is an acceptable site for all pop-up blockers and anti-virus programs on your computer.

Have you tried looking at your Safari preferences? With Safari open, from the Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences/Security. Make sure the top 3 buttons are selected. Also, from the Menu you can click Safari/Empty Cache. That might help also. While you are in the Security tab in Safari preferences, where it says: Accept Cookies Click the button that says: Only from sites you navigate to. Same for Firefox

Run Disk Utility and Repair Disk Permissions. Disk Utility is in your Appliations/Utilities folder. Launch Disk Utility. Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab, then click Repair Disk Permissions. This only takes a few minutes. When it's finished, Quit Disk Utility. Launch Safari or Firefox, navigate to that website and see if it functions as it should.

Carolyn 🙂
