How to combine multiple .mov files into one clip

I am attempting to make a DVD on iDVD. The problem is I have 20 files that I need to combine together for a proper DVD movie. Can I do this in iMovie? When I go to iDVD and can see all the 20 files, but there is no way to combine then in the iDVD software that I know of. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I read somewhere I can download quicktime pro and I can copy and save multiple files into one quicktime file and resave. Then I can open iDVD and import from quicktime. I am trying to avoid paying for software (which I am unsure if it will work) when I have programs that can do this already.

Macbook, 2.4 GHz Duo, 2 GB DDR2, 160GM 5400-rpm hrddrive, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Yes. Add all of the files to iMovie '08 as separate events. Then sequence the event clips in a project in the order you want them to play with or without transitions. When the project is shared/exported, it will be as a single file. The disadvantage of this approach is that your files will all be re-compressed to create the single output file which opens the door for additional artifacts/decreased quality.

Either QT Pro ($30) or MPEG Streamclip (free) will work here. With MPEG Stremclip, simply re-name the file using an Alpha-Numeric strategy to order the files in the order you want them to play. The open/drop the set of files to the Streamclip work window and use the "Save As..." option to save the content as a single file. With QT Pro, simply open each file in turn, select the entire file (Command-A), copy the content to temporary memory (Command-C), and and Paste (Command-V) or Add (Edit menu option) the content to your target player being sure not to reset the playhead (i.e., make sure the playhead is left at the end of the player) after each file is added. When done, save he target player using the "Save As..." File menu option.

How do I add event clips to project clips?
Select or create a new project. Grab and drag an Event clip to the Project window and drop it. (Or ALT/Option-Click an Event clip to select it and click the "Add" button to send it to the Project window.) Add additional Event clips to the Project window as needed. Re-arrange the clips in the Project window if needed. When satisfied, share your project as desired.

NOTE: If you click the help menu you can go to the Apple site and watch all of the iMovie '08 tutorials.

I haven't figured this out and I have been attempting this.
Mac applications tend to be "contextual" in nature. Menu options activate/deactivate depending on whether or not you can use them at any given time. If an option is not available, it means that you are not set up/ready to use it properly at that time..

I finally got the .mov clips combined via "add movie software" from apple.com, and uploaded on a iDVD show. Then I saved the dvd as disk image and attempted to burn. During the buring process I got this message during the "process menu" phase, and the screen stated, ""Encoding video menu assett..." The message states "Error during rendering/encoding" and goes into detail stating "There was an error during rendering/encoding of the meus/slideshows. The burning process has been cancelled." What did I do wrong? How can I fix this?
