Numbers making a Population Pyramid?

Hello,

I'm trying to make a population pyramid for my humble town of Chandler, AZ for a project, and I can't seem to pull up any on Google. Does anyone know of a way to create a population pyramid on Number? Because I can't a chart that could be feasible.

Other software other than Numbers I am willing to give a shot. I need to get this done.

I used my brain and built:

Some text items where "erased" by setting the used ink to white.
The "flipped" title on the right side was kept deliberately.
We may set its ink to white too.
A text block contains the ages values.
An other text block contains the scale for females values.

It is really a simple task.

The original poster asked about a pyramid chart. I don't think Numbers has the capability to generate such a chart which looks like a 3-D pyramid (think of the pyramids near Cairo, Egypt) with stacked sections whose size represents relative sizes of various components of the whole.

I reproduced what was given on a Web page as a "Population Pyramid", no less no more.

I can't presume to speak for the original poster but I think he had in mind a different type of chart. I don't know how to post graphics on this forum but I put an example of a pyramid chart in my gallery in me.com. If you're interested, go to http://gallery.me.com/tomjwright2 to view the chart.
