iSync can't be launched

Trying to sync my iPhone I got the message that sync wasn't active, had to override to get iPhone to sync. The went to open iSync and got the following error SyncServices: Can't connect to the sync server: NSInvalidReceivePortException: connection went invalid while waiting for a reply ((null))" Tried to reset sync folder by terminal command recommended in support but did not help, still getting same error message. Also can't open sync in Mobile Me. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve problem.
