I just got an 4g nano for my birthday at the beginning of September 08. Today my music began skipping. I have this nano filled with music because it is only a 4GB model. What would cause this and how can I fix it?
I wonder if this is somehow related to the skipping issue I'm seeing with my new iPod Classic 120gb. I don't suppose you're seeing random reboots of the iPod at all as well?
No I just noticed this problem for the first time yesterday. It happened to one song then about three songs later again than continued with most of the following tracks before I gave up. I am going to wipe the thing clean and change the songs on it only to about 75% capacity and see if the songs still skip. After that what else should I try. I am about ready to return it.
My ipod Nano 4GB had a few songs that it just didn't want to play too.
I tried out everything, but the only thing that helped me was to take the 4 songs that weren't working, change them from .mp3 into .wav and then changing them back to .mp3 again. That new .mp3 file worked 🙂
Thanks for the suggestions. I think it is my iPod because different songs would skip and the skipping got continually worse. I erased all the songs then imported another playlist so far so good. If the iPod is defective and I don't have a receipt can I get it replaced? How long is the Apple Warranty on it?
