mobile me calendar + push

i have my ical calendar set to "push" on my iPhone. The only other option is manual. My question is, does the push for the mobile me drain the battery much? I already have my work e-mail being pushed through the exchange server, but was wondering if the mobile me calendar push would drain the battery even more, and is it necessary to leave it on push or should i switch it to manual, and if so, how does the calendar update in manual?
thanks

All push services will drain the battery in a cumulative fashion. I have my Mobileme calendar updates set for manual and it works well. When you open the calendar app on the iPhone, it will contact Mobileme and download any changes made to your iCal calendar either on your computer, or on the web through Mobileme. You'll see the little internet activity icon next to the wifi/edge/3g icon in the menu bar on the phone. If you change or add an event on the phone, it will upload the information to Mobileme immediately so it will be reflected on your computer the next time the sync to your computer occurs. My battery life increased dramatically after I turned off the push services.
