This has got to be the dumbest question I have ever asked, but I got a new iTouch and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open the clear case it comes in. Tried pressure from every angle I can think off and short of prying it off, I cannot see another way. Help.
It was very dificult for me as well, I had the person in the Apple store open it for me just in case. There was tape on one end but not both, they just pinched the bottom part and pulled up on the top. Then, you have to take the tape off of the top of the iPod too, it's taped down to the holder inside the case.
I went to the site you specified and don't see a procedure to open the case. BTW I'm not trying to get anything repaired I just got the iTouch from Apple and want to open the case to use it. Thanks.
Ok solved. Really poor design. On one end there is a piece of tape that covers the entire end so no matter how you run your finger over it you don't feel the tape. There is a small grey arrow which is sort ot a tip off that you're supposed to do something with it, but what? After a minute or so I realized you're supposed to peel back the tape from that end and once the tape came off the cover wasn't that bad. Thanks for the suggestions.
ah, I think the OP simply wants to get the Touch out of the package! LOL! I know the frustration--it takes just the right "tweaking" to get the Touch out of it's packaging...so I can see why they are asking how to do it. Not sure I can put the method I used into words. I just kept bending and prying to get it out.
