How to type an em dash (—) on the iPhone?

I’be been on Google for days to find out how to type an “em dash” on the iPhone, but i could not find a workaround for that — do you know one?

Found it for you...as always, the Japaneese keyboard comes to the rescue.

If you add the Japaneese QWERTY keyboard to your list of keyboards, you can find it by hitting the ABC button, then the 123 button, then press and HOLD the bottom right .,-/ button. Then slide up to select the dash. After selecting you will be given choices for variants and one being the em dash.

And in case you didn't know, at the same ABC, 123 location, pressing and holding the number 1 and sliding to the left to pick the star...there are a lot of additional symbols such as heart, start, sun, raincloud, etc.
