I have searched high and low in this forum as well as others. I started editing on an Avid Symphony, and in that system as well as all other Avid systems there is an effect you can apply to audio called "Time Compression / Expansion" that allows you to speed-up and slow down audio without a pitch change. I don't see anything like that in Final Cut. Am I missing something? If it is not built in to FCP, is there an audio plug-in that can be purchased that will do this? Right now my workflow is to export a Quicktime Reference that I take into Avid, use the effect mentioned above, export a 48k WAV file that I then import into FCP. There HAS to be an easier way. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
