Ipod Touch and Universal Dock with remote problem

I have an IPOD touch which I upgraded to the new 2.0 software
Now when I put it in the Universal Dock the remote control only allows me to increase or decrease the sound. The other buttons do not work - has anyone else seen this problem - I apologize if something like this was posted before

IBM PC, Windows XP Pro

Thought mine was broken....I see several posts..same issue but no fix. I can up and down the vol but nothing else....Did apple sell us something that doesnt do what its supposed to?? Would appreciate any input on a fix..

Hi,
I am having the same problem. Worked fine before 2.0 software. Has anybody found a solution?

Never mind, problem solved for me: un-pairing and pairing again of the remote to my dock solved the problem (described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA23708?viewlocale=en_US).

I have no success with this. I can turn my volume up and down but not pause/play or skip to next song. I makes no sense. I tried resetting the pairing for the remote. Not working.
