No Spare parts for iPod Hifi

I hope that an Apple person will read this... My iPod Hifi Docking connector only works if I push the iPod forward. The connector is broken inside. When I contacted tech support to order a replacement part, they told me that you can not order ANY parts for the Hifi. Throw it away and buy something new, was the only advise. The thing is 1 year old, this is crazy!

No, I don't Apple will read this forum.

Back to your question, as Apple is no longer making this product, thats the reason they can't provide you with the parts.

It is a common problem of the connector, not only with iPod HiFi (in fact almost every iPod speakers dock system having the same problem), you can bring it to some electronic service company, I believe they can fix it for you.

If your product still within 1 year, I believe you can get the refund from Apple.

Well, I figured out a work around that might be helpful for other people: I ordered a universal dock, will glue it on top of the HiFi, lead the USB cable inside and connect it to the 5V of the PS, and connect the audio out of the dock to the audio input at the back of the Hifi. In this way it will charge the iPod, and I can play music. Not as neat as it was, but at least I can use it again. With many thanks to Apple for their support!
