Some Contact Pics go full screen on incoming call, and others don't WHY??

Contact photos that have been assigned to contacts directly from the iPhone's camera seem to turn into the Wallpaper during an incoming call from that contact--in other words, their pic goes full screen. The Contact photos that came with the contact info during syncing to my computer's Address Book MOSTLY seem to show up as a small photo in the upper right corner of the iPhone screen on an incoming call. However, I do have a few contacts synced from my computer whose pics also go full screen on their incoming call. All of these photos came from my iPhoto library, and were assigned to a contact in the Address Book. Does anyone know why this is, and how to make all the pics go full screen during in incoming call. I like that better since you can instantly see who the caller is with the full screen image. Thanks for you help!

I'm not sure why you are seeing some working both ways, however it is designed that you see a full screen picture with a contact if it was connected to the contact on the iPhone itself. If you make the connection to the contact through Outlook, it will show up as a thumbnail. I know this on a Windows/Outlook setup, but cannot address a Mac. Someone else will soon though.

A photo assigned to a contact with the Address Book on your Mac followed by sync will appear as a thumbnail with calling the contact or when receiving a call from the contact.

A photo assigned to a contact with or from the iPhone will appear as full screen when calling the contact or when receiving a call from the contact.

Transfer all photos that you want to assign to contact to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process and assign the contact photos with the iPhone's address book.

After doing so, you can remove the photos previously transferred to your iPhone for assigning contact photos with the iPhone without affecting the photos assigned to contacts with the iPhone.

Well I just discovered something fun that might just help you out.

I've been having this exact issue for ages and it always bugged me.

If you sync the image through address book, then ON the iPhone go to the contact and hit "Edit" and then tap on the image, the menu will pop up. "Take Photo" "Choose Existing Photo" "Edit Photo" "Delete Photo" and "Cancel". If you hit "Edit Photo" and resize the image to fill the screen, then "Set Photo", BANG it works! Full screen image for the contact.

Edit: Granted the image isn't in very high quality... but it's good.
Edit #2: You actually don't even need to resize the image. Just hit "Edit Photo" and then "Set Photo"
