Recall for logic boards on emacs with G84 or G85 serial numbers?

I have about 15 Emacs at my school. They are a 1Ghz computer bought in 2004. So far now I have 2 that seem to freeze up for no reason, have the video get jumpy and have startup issues. While reading in the forums about Emacs someone wrote that the logic boards have a known issue for computers with serial numbers that start with G84 & G85 which of course is the ones that I have and that apple has issued a recall on them. Does anyone know where one would find out for sure if this is true. I have priced new and refurbished logic boards but they cost 400 to 500 bucks for one. They are a good computer and would hate to just have to trash them. We arent made of money that is for sure. Has anyone else heard of any issues with the logic boards for the emacs? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey CCDHS,
Make sure that you tell them that you're a school.
My client had one of these literally explode on her. She was sitting there and she said it exploded like a firecracker. I knew about the repair extension and called the Apple store in Chicago. They were quite willing to repair it when I told them about the explosion.
You should have a lot of pull being an educational institution. If you are turned down at first keep ascending up the supervisor hierarchy.
