Do you use an AirCard? Do you like it?

I am starting a new business and I will need laptop access from the road. I will mostly need to access some online reference sites and email (no web publishing, music or video, etc). I am hoping to get a macbook (rather than a MBP) as I don't need a lot of power on the road (my Mac Pro at home will do the grunt work). However a MBP is needed for certain Aircards (that fancy port they have) which changes my budget considerably.

I have been looking at many options from just getting an iPhone (and using it exclusively for the web, I know you can't tether them) to getting an Aircard. My current carrier is ATT (my husband has an iPhone) so I can add their Aircard data plan for $60/mo - but I'm scared to commit to one of their Aircards after browsing through the forums. I'm not near an ATT or Apple store so I can't easily get a demo (or any real-person assistance after I make a purchase).

IF YOU USE AN AIRCARD please post and let me know:
- What make/model card do you have installed?
- Who is your carrier and have their fees been what was advertised?
- Have you been happy with it (access, speed, compatibility)?
- Any other comments?

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds - I'm sure there are others who would also value this information!!

I would wait at least another month to see what gets revealed (if anything) to the macbook product line. With the WIFI drops associated with current release I cannot recommend anything until then.

I would love to have a new macbook if it had an aluminum chassis like the Pro.

If you remember, they used to have the little 13" aluminum G4 which was a sweet little machine.
