podcasts auto play next podcast in playlist

is there a way to get podcasts to auto play the next one on the play list? for instance, I have the 60 second science podcasts all in a playlist. Driving down the road I have to get on my reading glasses at the end of every 60 second program and then get into the next program. Far to dangerous while driving. Is there a way to get them to auto play the next podcast in the playlist?

thanks for any help.

I was having the same problem - a new iPod Classic was stopping after each podcast while the one it replaced had played podcasts sequentially without my doing anything. I tried restarting it but that didn't help. Switching a couple of settings made it work. Check/set settings "Shuffle" to "Off" and "Repeat" to "Off". I think it was the first that made the difference, but I'm not certain. I'll probably experiment some more, but thought I'd post what cleared the initial problem.

I created a separate playlist to listen to podcasts (so they play one after another when I'm driving) BUT ... I decided I wanted to have a song between each Podcast - just to break it up a bit. HOWEVER: When I listen to the Playlist on my iPod it doesn't seem to recognise the Podcasts and only plays the songs. The Podcasts are in the Playlist and I can play them by manually turning one on - but this defeats the purpose of my orginal intent - sequential playing of Podcast followed by a song etc (BTW - if I play the same Playlist on my Desktop - no problem - simiarily if I burn it to CD no problem. The problem thus is with the iPod).
Any suggestions?

Yes, providing you are using the iPod Classic.

Turn off the shuffle feature. I know that doesn't make sense - but that's how to do it. However, this will play Podcasts in the reverse order to their release date - again it doesn't make sense but so far I have no solution to that.

brooks.peters : it is the shuffle feature that controls this, but make sure you use the Settings/shuffle or the turn on/off shuffle from the current song by clicking the select (centre) button three times to get to the shuffle. What does not work is the *shuffle songs* on the *Main menu* .

DeadPrez : to play just one Podcast then the player stops you need to *turn on* the shuffle feature, but as I mentioned above, do it from the Settings/shuffle or from the current song by pressing the select button to get to shuffle. Do not try using *shuffle songs* on the *Main menu* (if you have it displayed) - that does not work.

By the way - this applies to iPod Classics, but not to 5th gen iPods! I don't know about other iPods.
