iPod socks

Does anybody here know the dimensions of an iPod sock? Because I want something to wrap up my future iPod nano which will be at my door in a couple of days. The so-called "Tube" is not shipped yet, and the iPod socks look great. Can iPod nano be possibly be fitted in an iPod sock?

Yes, the iPod nano will easily fit in an iPod sock with room (perhaps too much room) to spare.

According to the apple store, the socks are compatible with all ipods save for the shuffle, so your nano should fit.

Too much room? What does that mean? Socks are supposed to be quite tight. If they are too loose, how can it be "fitted in"? So, will it or will it not fit the iPod nano?
By the way, how did you get the Gromit icon? it's wonderful. New movie on Oct 7.

It depends on how you define "fit". The iPod socks are intended to hold the larger iPods, so a nano will go into an iPod sock but probably not be completely snug. I'm not sure how much the socks stretch, though, so it's possible that the socks are small enough to be snug even with the tiny iPod nano.

I am also awaiting the arrival of my Nano and wondered the same thing. Is there no clip attached? or available? I know they have the skins but as a guy I really don't feel like pink is exactly my color. Why, OH why can't they just pick colors that are a little less neon or so girly. Men do use these as well you know.

I think there's no point. Because an iPod nano is nearly as small as an iPod shuffle. The nano is too thin to be clipped, you know.

"Tubes":
The thingy you called "skins", I think they are "bisexual", even for the pink and purple. Just trust Apple's designers, they never let you down. Perhaps you look smarter with pink skins, who knows? I also happen to be a guy, and have already ordered the "Tubes". But it will be another 4 to 6 weeks before I can tell you how good they are.

Do you have other iPods? I'm 80% sure that I will go for the Socks for this "no lanyard, no Tube" period. You may do the same, I think.

I've been using a sock w/ my nano, and its fine. its not completely snug, like the tube would be, but i can flip the sock upside down and the nano doesnt fall out.
also, they're cotton, so throw them in the dryer - they'll shrink up a bit. i use them mostly for my sony ericsson phone, i dont like any other cases out there, and i just put them throw the washer and dryer and then throw them on my nano, havent had a problem yet.

Perhaps I'll get a pair of stripped toe socks to go with it. I have a really great cover now for my mini that was able to come in just a slate grey. Cross my fingies that this too will be available.

I really like it, hoping a nice case will come out soon so i can workout with it. armband isnt enough, i sweat too much, so need the nano to be completely covered, if possible.
do have one minor issue w/ the contacts, will probalby create a separate post if i dont find a solution soon
