I would have to say the Agent 18 Case is the best, because of its great low price, also the fact that it is a hard case, so in case you drop your case while the Nano is in it the Nano might not receive any damage at all, better than tubes because this case most likely will absorb shock of hitting ground, also this case won't cramp your style.
I see... does anyone also have any pictures of white nanos in an agent 18 case???
myself i got a iPod sock 🙂 it might not take an impact but it keeps scratches at bay plus i can still stick it in my shirt pocket without it being to obtrusive
I use the zcover. Very happy with it.
I got my "inCase" wallet for the Nano yesterday. It's great for carrying in a shirt or pants pocket. More bulky than I would have liked but high quality. I'm waiting for an agent18 case to show up. I like having a "dress" case and a case for biking.
Just get a cheap milky silicone skin for the time being. Nano is new and the best is yet to come. My experience is that I bought lots of iPod mini skins I thought were the best and then have been left unused forever.
If you want a clear case, look at the XtremeMac MicroShield. For a leather case, the Noreve, Vaja, Belkin Carabiner, and Tunewear Prie Ambassador are all interesting cases. I persanally don't have any case yet; I ordered the Agent18 case and then cancelled it based on some comments i have read.
I ordered the Waterfield Designs iPod nano case. It's good for lugging your nano around but I've recently ordered a SkinTight Deluxe from Speckproducts because the Waterfield case doesn't allow access to any functions without taking the nano out, and it's a tight fit....
I'm using a combination on mine. I am using one of those common silicone ones to protect the Nano's body. To protect the screen from scratches, I am using a cut-down screen protector from my Treo600. These are wonderful scratch protection and I have used them for a couple years on other iPods. You can get a box of them for $10 (they stick on without adhesive and peel off with a nail and do NOT distort the view) at any place that sells PDA's.
Is there a brick and mortar retail store somewhere that one can walk in to and touch/feel a wide assortment of these cases? It can be difficult to really understand how these things look, feel, effect one's ability to use the iPod's controls, effect the viewability of the screen, impede (or not) the connector(s), provide a lanyard, how much bulk and weight they add, and so forth....unless you can pick them up and slip your nano in and work it for a few minutes. I'd hate to order one online just to find it a disappointment....
No, Bill.
There are a few cases that have just started shipping over the last 2 weeks. The rest are scheduled for a later release.
All of them are currently available for on-line purchase only, and that's because the products are very new to the market.

Can anybody tell me if the Nano SkinTight by Speck Products is any good? Or which case performs best over all
I'm using an iPod sock for now and I'll probably buy one of Incase's cases. Tunewear's cases look pretty good too: http://www.tunewear.com/english/product/.
And expensive! The Prie Ambassador is $50,but id does look versatile.
I went on ebay and purchased a single ipod sock, its a fraction of the cost of all other cases and does the same job for keeping it scratch free and safe.
The Best Case For Ipod Nanos is?????
