iPod Nano & iTrip

Question

iPod Nano & iTrip

I really like my Belkin FM transmitter but it's sometimes a hassle with the cord going to the cigarette adaptar. I want to get the iTrip instead but all the ones I see available don't say if they are compatible with the iPod Nano or not. Can someone tell me if it is compatible or not before I order one ? Thanks

The newest announced "iTrip FM Transmitter with Dock Connector for iPod" says it's compatible with Nano at the veyr bottom of this page --> http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/itrip30/index.php

They're currently taking pre-orders which means it hasn't shipped yet.

One thing to keep in mind...

It may work with the Nano but I'm guessing it will be off center becuase the dock connecter is not centered on the Nano like on the full size iPods.

Wow, that looks pretty sweet, but yeah, I wonder about the size of it and how off balanced it will be because the Nano is so small. Also, just so I have this straight. The current Griffin iTrip FM Transmitters like the one made for the iPod Mini that you find at Wal-Mart or wherever ARE NOT compatible with the iPod Nano ?

Previous generation of iTrip used a remote jack that was next to the headphone jack on older iPod models (mini included). The new Nano and Video iPods no longer have the remote jack so the older iTrip will not work.

Ahhh, see, I thought it plugged into the headphone jack itself. Thanks for answering my question before I dropped $40 on something I'd have to return 5 minutes later. 🙂
