Did anyone ever get this email from Apple?

Nope, never got that one - what did you write? Word or Photoshop for the iPhone? 😉

Ok... so either you wrote something like a swiss army lighter with so many online functions that apple needs additional manpower to test or they finally realized that there are only so many lighters the store can take. Is there something that sets your lighter apart from the 20+ other lighter apps?

The system DOES work S L O W L Y...I got one of these letters as well. My app has literally one thing to test: Does it play sound or doesn't it....yet still I sit awaiting some clown to test it.

This is f'ing ridiculous...yesterday I sent an email to Steve-o yesterday asking about the review times (and also asking if we would see push notifications -- he assured me they are assigning more people.

I submitted the app on the 18th of September....

For what it's worth, my first app took two weeks to review....

Hi guys, I've got 3 apps receiving this reply. The earliest one submitted on Sept 9...

May be it is just co-incidence but all these apps are also having sound playback.

I just recieved this last night for one of my apps as well.

Mine does NOT use sound, so that can't be the variable.

Also, it's an update to an app already on the store - one that fixes some critical issues I had. Could be that I didn't fix them LOL

The original app was approved in 4 days. And I got this note 5 days after submitting the update.

Now I'm even more confused about what it means LOL

Mine is three weeks tomorrow, anyone else have similar experience and what is your ending?

Got one for a new app that's now a month in review.

A related question is has anyone had their app approved after receiving such an email?

I just received this e-mail. My app does use sound, OpenAL. Has anyone who has received this e-mail had their app accepted yet?

Okay so that means something's happening at their end. If you got this, then expect a very very very long delay. It's been a month now and the app is still in review. Moreover, my app is quite simple to test too - less complicated than other apps I've successfully released in less than a week's review.

I've written to them possibly 50 times in frustration but I get a similar template in reply (got that on my 49th email after one month). So I'd suggest everyone who gets this replies back a couple of hundred times telling them how unprofessional this is, especially when you've submitted a paid app!

Btw, I submitted for SDK 2.0 right at the time 2.1 came out. What SDK did you submit for?
