Question

[iPhone] no provisioning profiles found

Tonight, when building, all of a sudden I get this error:

*CodeSign error: no provisioning profiles found for code signing identity 'iPhone Developer'*

I've applied for the iPhone Dev program but I'm still in the queue. So, I haven't bought my provisioning profile yet from Apple and I've just been developing on the iPhoneSimulator2.1SDK. Now I can't seem to develop even on the simulator .. any help?

on the Build Properties of your app what is set for the code signing provisioning profile (any iPhone Os Device)?

yes, the key is "Any iPhone OS Device" and the value is "Default Provisioning Profile for Code Signing Identity"

I recall now the circumstances of the issue. I was coding in XCode 3.1.1 at the same time I was syncing my iPhone with iTunes. Could this be a factor? Anyway, now I can no longer build iPhone software at all ...

Restarting XCode solved the problem.
